oh good lord.

First, click on this image. And check out the dude's face... or rather one particular part of it. I passed this painting today in the Luce Center and stopped in my tracks, full-out double-take. Anyone up on the history of hairy growths?

Ugh, I have the heebie jeebies. I didn't think old portraits were into fidelity... I wonder if the painter and the sitter had a feud.
