nail gazing

My co-worker is a scholarly authority on nail polish and manicures - both present and past. We are all really into polish and what we call "nail-gazing." I'm guilty of this a lot. And, I like to paint my own nails. A friend of a friend recently created Sol Lewitt inspired nails, which really are little works of art:

Brooklyn Heights

I was able to convince some friends to walk around Brooklyn Heights with me on Saturday. I've decided to be better about exploring my favorite borough, and this was a step in the right direction! A handful of kind souls agreed to present a landmark or building, and others came armed with facts/stories/resources. Here's our route.

In addition to the awesome architecture, it was really nice to walk out to the promenade. It was crazy windy, too! That provided a bit of excitement. Alison B. was definitely the pro; I loved Allison M.'s reading at 70 Willow; Leela completed our tour with stories of 7 Middagh (no longer standing) during our after-tour drinks. Everyone made the day totally fun!
