What a lovely little clock! This is now in the collection at the Dittrick in Cleveland. My dad says it looks like c. 1958 (how specific!) and that he is (or will be) scouring periodicals for such a thing. He then sent me to Wikipedia to learn about the rythym method. Ha! If this wasn't gynodate-related, one would think I had a very irresponsible father.
EDIT: In my haste, I didn't even see the brochure he sent me as well! It tells you all about the very same Gynodate. The cover says it is "The first and unique gynecological calendar-alarm-clock of the world, based on the KNAUS-OGINO METHOD."Anyway - what a classy way to track your cycle and possibly make use of the least effective method of contraception!
