I recently attended two openings - Harbor & Home at Winterthur, and MoMA's Into the Sunset: Photography's Image of the American West. They were very different shows, venues, etc., but both led me to this conclusion: one does not go to a museum exhibition opening to see the show. Okay, so you see a little, but mostly you either gawk at strangers (MoMA) or chat it up with old friends (Winterthur). And you always have a drink.Adventures in the Berkshires await me this weekend, hopefully something worth writing about as well!
