Tourist shops in Norway were filled with sweaters! Sweaters for tourists. A lot of them were not that great, and I think my dad had to lay aside his dream of finding something authentic on our trip. There was a brand that I thought was pretty neat though - Oleana. I think they probably sell to a lot of tourists too, but I'd actually wear their sweaters (if I could afford one!). The company was started in 1992 to bring the knitting industry back (a little bit) to Norway. They cost so much because the wool and silk garments are designed and made there. If you're interested, check out the video on their site.
